This Privacy Policy describes what data CJP collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Account data: email, display name, password hash.
- Content: posts, comments, uploaded media, the metadata you attach (location text, tags).
- Activity: upvotes, reports you file, posts you create.
- Technical: server logs (IP, user-agent, request path). Held for 30 days for abuse and security investigation.
How we use it
- To run the platform: show your posts, send notifications, secure your account.
- To enforce these Terms and the Community Guidelines.
- To comply with legal requests (only when properly served).
What we never do
- Sell your data to advertisers or data brokers.
- Publicly display the real name behind an anonymous post.
- Share your email or phone with other users.
Cookies and storage
We use one HTTP-only session cookie (cjp_token) to keep you signed in. Some browsers also store your auth token in localStorage as part of the sign-in flow. Clearing cookies or local storage will sign you out.
Your rights
- Access — download all data we hold on you.
- Correction — fix any inaccurate data.
- Deletion — close your account and remove identifying data.
- Objection — tell us not to use your data for a given purpose.

Data retention
Account data is retained until you delete the account. Posts and comments may remain visible after deletion if they were preserved under a legal hold.
Children
CJP is not directed to children under 16. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 16 without parental consent, we will delete it.
Changes
We will post updates here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced to active users by email.
